Knowing Swami Vivekananda :1

By the grace of guru and these great people I am daring to tell some of the incidents about swami Vivekananda. Where ever I will make mistakes, please let me know, I will rectify it. I hope the readers and these great people will forgive my mistakes by considering me the immature and fool child.

I am not going to tell about Narendra in chronological order but I will share many incidents and facts of his life in Bits and pieces.

When it comes to know about Swami Vivekananda we must know about one person deeply. Without that person its impossible to talk about Swamiji.
The name is Ramakrishna Paramhansa.

It’s a terrible pair of guru shishya I have seen or read about.. Why am saying it?
Let me tell you.

We need to go back in time when swami Vivekananda was a college boy, hardly 20 years old. Everyone knew him by his name Narendra at that time. It was the time when Narendra met Ramakrishna first time.
There was big contrast in between these two, personality wise, mentally and in every sense.

Ramakrishna was a person who studied till his 2nd standard. In short he was kind of illiterate. He was from the brahmin family and pure vegetarian. He was so sensitive that his body used to reject food touched by a impure person. He never used to eat if someone has even tasted his food. He was so soft by heart. So emotional person.
He was the devotee of Maa Kali. Sagun upasana. Bhakti was his main stream of whole life and when he came in to the life of Narendra.

Narendra was totally opposite. He was the person of knowledge and kind of dry. He was from the kayastha family. Where the non-veg was the daily food. He was the non believer of the Sagun upasana. That is why he was the member of brahma Samaj. Where the belief was about only Ningana God. They used to take the oath that the member of Brahma Samaj will never pray in front of the statue or idols.

So here both are the believers of the total opposite things. Their daily habits and daily life was totally different from each other. But this illiterate man totally changed everything about this boy. He did not converted him , but he loved him the way he was. He nurtured his life like a true master.

Narendra used to live in the Shimla house at Kolkata. He was very bright student. Not academically. Because the mark sheets available of Narendra don’t show that he was the top ranker. Academically he was the average but bright student.

But overall qualities of this boy were extraordinary. At the age of 20 or 21 when he met Ramakrishna he was kind of atheist. He had his own thought process.

Narendra was the neighbor of Rabindranath Tagore. The father of Rabindranath Tagore was on the spiritual path. One day the young Narendra went to him when Devendranath Tagore ( Ravindra math’s father) was meditating.

Narendra was behind only one question. Is there a God? If anybody answers “yes”, his next question was have you seen him? The same questions he asked to Devendra Tagore. He got the negative answer. Narendra was disappointed.

the first meeting of Narendra and Ramakrishna Paramhansa was very different and unexpected. Narendra was the amazing singer. He was really good into the music. At the age of 18 Narendra wrote the book about classical music. Because of the lack of funding Narendra published it on somebody else’s name.

So what happened that many of the people knew him as a good singer. Once the Ramakrishna Paramhansa visited one of his devotee in Kolkata. The host of Ramakrishna Paramhansa knew about Narendra. So he called him to sing some devotional songs. Narendra went there and he sang a song.

As Narendra started singing, Ramakrishna lost his consciousness and went into the deep samadhi. After the program Ramakrishna held the hand of Narendra and took him into one of the room.

He started crying. He was asking Narendra ,” where were you my lord? I am waiting for you for so long. Where were you? ”

Narendra was confused and hesitant about the behavior of this man.
Ramakrishna told him again and again that he wants to see him again. Many times he asked the promise from Narendra, that he would visit Dakshineshwar. which was the place where Ramakrishna Paramhansa used to live.
Narendra was already annoyed because of such unexpected behavior. So to just get rid of this man he said, “yes I will come to visit you at the Dakshineshwar.”
Ramakrishna Paramhansa was so happy and joyful like a child after hearing his “Yes”.

Narendra did not know at that time that his life is going to change forever for the best.

Narendra’s third meeting with Ramakrishna Paramhansa. :

21 years old Narendra is in front of Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Ramakrishna told Narendra to show his hands. Then he just took the palms of Narendra in his hands and he kind of lifted them to check something like weight of his hands.

He told the first fact but the brutal fact about Narendra at that time. he told Narendra that, “you are going to live very small life. You will not live longer.” Narendra did not know what to say. Everything about these 2 is mystical. Just magical.

Everything I have said above is properly documented. After this incident so many times Ramakrishna Paramhansa said to many of his devotees and shishyas that, “Narendra is not going to live long life.”
How come this illiterate man knew almost everything about Narendra in so detailed manner? Many of the live discussions have been recorded by the Mahindra Nath Gupta (M) at that time.

So this is how the two great personalities of India met each other. Whatever I am going to tell about them is documented. It is not some story from the story books or mythical stories. Many people who will read my post or the discussions of Ramakrishna Paramhansa about Narendra, they will feel that it’s a kind of magic and unbelievable. Even Narendra used to speak his disbelief openly.

But the great personality of India was under the great guidance had already begun.

The person who won the west and the East, the first person who made the western people to respect India was getting prepared for his mission of life unknowingly.

To be continued……..

#swamivivekananda

Are we slaves?

warning: only deep thinkers try to read it. The post is Not for all.

Do u believe in the love?
love means love for Ur boyfriendf or girlfriend or life partner. Most of the times, people initially feel that this is only person in the world who is made for them. They feel every kind of attraction for that person. Mental, emotional , intellectual, spiritual, physical. People also describe it as the companionship of many lives. We are made for each other.

I really appreciate that.

But as always my mind asks some basic questions.

For few seconds imagine that the person was not at all in existence, does it means that u would be all alone for whole life?

And you would not have felt attracted towards some other person? And feel the same? That he/she is the person made for you??

what if that person would not have existed, does it mean you would not have fall in love at all? With anyone else??

I think it’s impossible.

If he/she would not have existed at all or you would not have met him at all in your life, still you would have got someone else. That’s what my practical mind says.

So one question remains is why everyone feels that he is with the person who is made for him/her? Or why everyone keeps finding such person who is made for him/her?

I would say , it’s a pure illusion or the slavery.

Yes slavery.

We feel that we are the masters of our life and we choose the person we want in our life. But infact our this thought itself is a projection of the slavery.

It’s difficult to explain but still I will try at my best.
So understand the below points.

Have you seen the matrix movie? Where machines are using humans as their battery. But for that they create the illusionary world “matrix”. So in reality every person is sleeping and became a battery for the machines and he is living the illusionary world “matrix” in his mind as a daily life. All people are connected to that world. This dream life has been given by machines to these people. He never wakes up.
So machine has humans as slave to give them energy and they give humans the illusionary world, where people feel they are living the life of their own choice.

Now you will ask what is the relevance of this with love life?

Just replace the machines with nature.
Nature who always likes to be exist. Persist. Nature never cares about anything . For the persistence and existence reproduction is very important. Even sometimes destruction is also important. And nature acts on it.

So basically the feeling of love or attraction us there because of not what we feel it but it is because of what nature wants us to feel.

I am not saying that the love is not right feeling but I am saying the cause of such kind of love or attraction what human experiences for one particular person is delusional.

As I said above, if the oppoaite person does not exists still human will feel the same kind of love and attraction for someone else. He will find someone to live with. So it is not about the particular person practically. Even though we feel that it is for that one person only.

That is why there are so many attractions for the males and females. It is totally natural. Even though lovers living together, they also get attracted towards other people.

Maya in Indian mythology or Indian scriptures is not different than this. Everyone is under the illusion of Maya. That is why we do what she wants to get from us. So in this case nature is nothing but the Maya. Because nature wants to exist and persist, that is why the nature has given us the feeling to feel that attraction of opposite sex and we gave it the name as love.

But we are fools who dont understand that even if the person we are loving would not have existed, we would be loving someone else.

But we don’t even feel that our love is not originated within ourselves. It has been planted in us. The idea to feel those emotions of feeling closeness , being attracted are planted in us by nature. Nature doesnt care whether you are going to have sex with mutual understandings or by love and emotions or by force. Nature tells us just to have sex. Because he wants to reproduce either this way or that.

so it’s just about how we r under the illusion of nature.
it’s exactly like movie matrix.

we fools, think that I am in love. but we don’t understand that the feel of falling in love is the trick of nature. Nature uses us so amazingly that we even don’t understand that it’s not our own wish.

The beautiful brutal truth our feeling of love is the result of what someone else wants.

That is what Maya is. where we don’t realise itself that we r the slaves. we feel that we are doing everything as master. In reality we are completing the wish of nature.

That is why in Indian scriptures getting out of the attraction from the opposite sex is one of the step of getting free from the Maya. Everything around is Maya no doubt. but opposite sex attraction or sexual attraction is one of the biggest loop of Maya.

We can go into much more detail of this if we bring the one more factor called as Karma. It will be more complicated.
Because people will ask so many saints and enlightened people were married and had children. But one big difference is there that , for those people physical attraction and love is not the concern. They do it without keeping any expectations. They do it neutrally. They do it because there are some past karmas pending. So they have to go through all this things. they are totally neutral about this things while doing. so intentions and approach of those people is very different than us.

It’s like the difference in between drinking the alcohol as habit and drinking the alcohol as a medicine.

I guess I have made it complicated as I could. But I hope if someone deeply think about it he/she will understand the meaning what I want to say.

the final words I would say that we are the slaves of the nature. That’s why we feel the emotions like live for opposite sex mainly. Very few people can even understand it or realise such kind of slavery. And fewer of them will try to get rid of it. To become the true master. To become enlightened. Then nature won’t be their master.nature won’t be able to make them slaves. They would use nature as per their wish. Like a true master.

What is Brahmin?

The Reality-4

Please do read the previous blogs regaring reality so it would be better in understanding this blog.

The Reality-1

The Reality-2

The Reality-3

We have talked about different types of realities and how it is linked with our suffering or happiness both. We talked about the higher level of realities means the enlightenment, where person achieves those realities or dimensions, where he can get rid of the suffering and pain and even from the pleasure. Basically going beyond the duality.

So how to achieve this higher Reality?

There are different ways to achieve it. There are so many paths. Like dhyan yoga, karmyoga, devotion, hath yoga. But we forget the most straightforward and direct path, which is to ask question “what am I?” All these paths mentioned above also root down to the same question. But there are many diversions, processes, achievements and failures, while walking those paths.

But the path of questioning ourselves that what am I? Is most straight forward. There is no magic, no hard work, no limitations, no belief system, no religion, no God and Goddesses. It’s a path of seeking, where we keep asking the questions. Where we are open to every new idea, new questions and answers.

So I will try to Generalis this route. There are mainly 3 stages of it.

1. Shravan (listening)

Where a person listens to the scriptures. Where person tries to know about the different dimensions and try to understand what am I? This listening is always benificial when it is from the experienced person called as Guru. Guru’s task is to just tell you whatever he can. To guide you without expectations from ou. You have to listen it with full absorption. You have to grasp it with the brain and intellectual. So till now it’s a theory for us. Where we try to analyse the different dimensions and how am I different from everything we experience. Where our brain tries to understand or make anologies which is kind of beyond every sense. Where you try to understand and ask as many as question about who am I. May be every answer will not satisfy you. But atleast you get some theoretical answer from the experienced person.

here I want to make one thing clear in between the real Guru and other fake entities to call themselves as guru or aster.

The most important difference in between the real Guru and other religious priests or so called intellectuals and scholars is that, the Guru never expect anything from you. H(S)e will never bound you with any kind of rules and regulations. But h(S)e is always ready to help you out. Even if you leave him/her, h(S)e won’t take it in a negative way. Real Guru gives you full freedom to nurture yourself. Because h(S)e himself is the enlightened entity he acts like that.

Then the second stage comes.

Manan: ( thinking deep about whatever you have listened).

This stage we can call as a meditation as well. Where we are processing data in your mind. With full focus and concentration. We try to experience whatever we listened. We try to go deeper and deeper inside us. Where mostly we start realising things sooner or later depends on person to person. We actually try to digest whatever we have listened from our Guru.

Aaj person is going deep down to find himself, he might experience so many hidden good and bad about him as a mind. At this stage a person starts getting stable with focus.

Then automatically the third stage begins.

Nidhidhyas: (continuous reminding experiencing) the fact about my true nature, which is divine. )

Nidhi mean continuous and dhyasa means being behind the motive. So it is like thinking and behaving continuously for the goal.

In Marathi language it is also called as taildharawat (तैलधारावत). That means, when you pour the oil into something, the oil keeps falling in other vessel continuously without disturbance, in a continuous stream.

So here a person continuously starts thinking and realising that he is the divine one. Even though he is active in the day to day life, his focus on the self realisation doesn’t get disturbed as it used to be. Most of the time he cam do his everyday jobs effortlessly and he can focus on his meditation at the same time.

Many times he may get defocused but the task of the person is to take ifocus back on himself. That’s why it is called as the Nididhyasa.

So these are the three steps to have the self-realization very easily and in very direct way.

Now the question arises if it is really very direct and simple way then why doesn’t everyone get it? Why people struggle even on this path?

First we need to understand one thing that one should have really have a passion to realise the higher reality. Most of the people follow the path for just a intellectual adventure and then leave in between. That’s why very few get till the end of the race.

The second reason is there are some milestones where everyone needs to take care of something. Which are the kind of hurdles.

So what are those hurdles? Because this hurdles are created by mind and intellectual. as well as some part of it is because of some external conditions.

so we will try to analyse what are those hurdles in the next blog. How to tackle them is very important.

Till the time just keep asking yourself only one question “what I am I?” Just close your eyes and try to find out that I. Which is neither the body nor mind nor intellectual. I am sure even a one minute time is sufficient to realise the part of divinity in yourself.

The Reality:- 3

You must read the The Reality-1 and The Reality-2 to understand this further explanation.

In the The Reality-1 we saw the types of realities according to the Upanishads.

In The Reality-2 blog we saw the 3rd reality means the enlightenment state in little depth. We tried to learn, what is Brahman?

In this blog we will try to understand what are the steps to know this brahmin and self. the steps to wake up from the day today reality into the enlightenment state.

so here we will brush up again some things.

What is the most profound statement of Advait Vedanta?

I am Brahmin.

So here two questions arises.

  • What am I?
  • What is Brahmin?

So lets ask yourself.

There is a beautiful statement in Vedanta:
I am not what is experienced but I am the one who experiences it.

to understand it we will see some part again in little depth.

  1. Are you this body? Physical body?

You may say , yes I am.

Ok then, so you mean to say right now your right hand Is also you.

Suppose If we cut you right hand (just for imagination, I am not that cruel yet …), what will you say?

Is it still you? You will say that my right hand is laying there. But it will be your hand not you, yourself.

You are still there even your hand has gone. Like this, if we remove most of the organs, still you will be there (obviously in worst pain and cursing me for it). And the point will come where it will be your body lying somewhere and you are observing it. Which means a dead body without you inside it. What does that mean?

Its simple.
I AM NOT THE BODY.

2. Are you the mind? Your emotions?

You will say yes.

Ok let’s accept you are your mind.

Have you observed that your mind runs so freely all the time? When you sleep in the dream state you feel that you are in the dream itself.

When you wake up your world is changed totally. So is it really you? At the same time you know you can control your mind.

Isn’t it a obvious statement which says you can control your mind, means you and your mind are different things. You are something above the mind.

So when we go to that depth then we understand one thing.
I AM NOT MIND OR EMOTIONS

3. Are you the Intellect?

We claim or say or do everything in our life what our intellect command us. Even when I say that “I am Mayur”, that means its my knowledge. My name is Mayur, and having knowledge about it is my intellect. So almost everything we do in our life is only because of our intellect.

But a point when we are in the deep sleep. At that time nothing exists, neither any knowledge about self, or others or even dream state. For those moments we are like a dead person. But still something exists there which is silently observing that state as well. But it is not intellect.

So Intellect is a very deep identity of myself but we can say that I AM NOT INTELLECT either.

So exactly what am I? which is not my body, mind or intellect.

Vedanta says brahmin is the same. According to Vedanta brahmin is the one Which cannot be experienced.

So obviously according to Advait Vedanta, Brahmin is a state is which is beyond explanation. It is a state of just being and bliss which cannot be explained.

Then the obvious question would come like, how can we believe that such thing does even exist?

If the Brahmin is beyond the senses of physical body, beyond the imagination of the mind and beyond the knowledge of intellectual then how to realise it?

So how can one experience which is beyond experience of physical sense , emotional or mental sense or even intellectual sense? To experience that bliss. That permanent being.

The Advaita Vedanta says one cannot know the real Brahmin or himself as the divine because of ignorance. And what is the ignorance? The ignorance of self. As most of the human being identify themselves as either human body or mind or intellectual. The Brahmin is beyond all this.

Now the most confusing statements will come here so try to read it very slowly by understanding the meaning of each statement.

Advait Vedanta says you always have realisation of yourself. How?

Because we always know I do exist, Whether I am in a dream state or awakens state or deep sleep state. Just we don’t try to feel it. What does that exactly means?

I will try to give a simple example what we face everyday. We look at the other people, we look at all the objects around us. But have you seen your own eyes or your own face? no I am not talking about the face you look into the mirror for any kind of reflective surface. I am talking about directly looking into your eyes for your face. It’s impossible. Whatever you do, you are not capable to look at our own face directly. Does it mean that you don’t have eyes or face? No. You have a face.

Even though we don’t have the direct experience of the eyes or our face but we have always realisation that I have eyes and I have a face. This is the realisation of the fact.

if you correlate this example with the Brahmin or the soul or divine yourself, You will realise that you do exist always irrespective of your body, mind or intellectual.

That is why Swami Vivekananda used to say that I feel so sad because you cannot understand what you are.

so this is the first step to acknowledge and repeat yourself that I am not the body, I am not the mind, I am not the intellectual, I am not the sufferer, but I am the Brahman who do exists permanently. And repeating this continuously will lead you to the real realisation of yourself.

then the automatic question will arise that is this theoretical knowledge sufficient to realise what I am? Will it give realisation as well?

Asking the question daily about “What am I? “ is the start of the journey towards inward. To know ourselves, to get escape from all the suffering and pain and even happiness. Towards Bliss. Which is the true nature of self. Understanding it deeply most of the time in the day to day life we will start realising things.

How to make all these practices profound and flawless also has techniques.

The steps towards the realisation are

        1. Shravan (listening as exact translation, but it means collecting knowledge by listening or reading the texts from self realised people or gurus and masters.)
        2. Manan ( thinking about it deeply)
        3. Nididhyasa (trying realizing those words what your mind has accepted by now.)

I will try to explain these 3 main things in the next part of Reality:4.

what are the difficulties or questions one may ask while doing above things. There might be many doubts while walking this path. So will mainly discuss the process of walking down this path.

Till the time let’s start with the very basic thing by asking a most profound question. At least we know by now with our theoretical knowledge that I am not body, mind or intellectual.

SO start asking one question from now again and again and deeply…….

“ WHAT AM I?”

Am I this body?

No.

Am I this mind?

No.

Am I this intellectual?

No.

Then what am I??

I am the soul of soul. I am the Brahmin . I am the supreme Devine . Am not the surlfferer, but I am the constant bliss. The silent observer.

Illusion

Who says everything is visible in the light?

Days are bright, all have the sight;

But truth struggles to fight;

And nothing seems right;

when sun sets down;

owls and spirits wear the crown;

the hidden secrets of the day bright;

dance with the night;

but nights are different;

They are dark , and they are silent;

the secrets of the world shall reavealed to only those;

who stay up all the night on their toes;

whether a barking dog or creative robber;

Hunting bat or passionate lover;

Insomaniac or a old granny or;

Haunting spirit or a meditating yogi;

all The above shares their own secrets

when others in the bright day can not interpret.

it is not wrong to say that the whole world is an illusion

because days give us light but

The nights give us the vision.

The king and the queen

The above photo I took in Dubai. No I am not explaining about the photo or how did i take it. It’s a general thought process.

I do play chess a lot. It’s an interesting game. I was playing the game with my friend who has wooden set of chess. we were playing the game and I was in really bad situation. I just had two pawns, king and queen on the board.

Suddenly my friend’s mother called him for something to get in. So he just went inside the kitchen. While thinking the move to avoid checkmate I had this thought I am sharing Below.

Queen is the most powerful piece on the chessboard. Queen can move anywhere across the board. If you lose the queen it’s very difficult to win the game because Queen holds 9 points. Many players lose their hopes to win after losing their queen.

Exactly in opposite way, the king is like most weak as a Pawn. Because King can only move 1 Block. The value of king is also very less. I mean in terms of points. King holds one point.

So if you see the game scenario, it feels and seems that Queen has more rights, it is way more powerful than the king. It seems like King is very much dependent on the queen.

No, I am not talking about any women rights or husband and wife or any kind of social life and rules. I am trying to correlate the queen and king in our day to day life. Our very personal life. Spiritual or eternal life.

King and queen are like soul and physical body. In our day to day life we know how much we care about our body. we know that if we lose our body we are going to die. We try to give everything with what our body demands. Then it may be the health related thing or pleasure related thing or mental satisfaction. We always do whatever is required for our physical body. Basically we live for that.

But we hardly even notice about the soul. yes, when we discuss kind of philosophical stuff or at certain occasions we try to think about soul. But most of the time we live and think as a physical body. The way we take care of our physical body, we never try to know our soul or to take care of the soul. We never nurture it. We never ask our soul that what do you want? I know the question is wrong here because the question should be what I really want?

So the king is the soul and the queen is the body. And in the chess, the queen means body is totally free, wild, powerful. we give most importance to the queen, we always try to save the queen. Even though our main motive of the game is to save the king we hardly recognise it.

Weather it’s chess or real life even if the queen (physical body) leaves the board, game is still ON.

But when king (soul) leaves the board. Queen (body) goes straight into the wooden box.

The Reality- 2

This is the sequel part for my blog The Reality -1

Just to refresh few terms from that blog:

There are three stages of reality according to the Mandukyopanishad.

  1. Dream Reality : The lower reality which we experience in a dream state.
  2. Awaken Reality: The day to day life what we live.
  3. Enlightened or Superconscious Reality: Turiyawastha which is super conscious stage of reality.

We experience dream as the reality when we are sleeping and watching the dream.

When we wake up, the Dream Reality ends for us and new reality of day to day life starts. Even if the dream is pleasurable we are supposed to wake up either this way or that. Even if we want to sleep more, to experience the dream for longer time finally we push ourselves up to wake up.

Now the question is how can one wake up from the awaken reality that means the day to day life reality to the enlightened state? Is it possible?

Advait Vedanta says big YES. It’s possible.

First of all, the person needs to have a wish to really wake up from this reality. This is the most important criteria.

Why am I saying this because, if you can observe, when dream is of mixed emotions of the good and bad incidents, we do enjoy watching it. We don’t want to wake up easily. But when dream is terrible horror or sad we immediately try to get up and get rid of it.

In the same way day to day life is mixture of pleasure and sorrow incidents. We just stick here and never want to give up. Whatever happen we like to be in this reality. When some one really gets fed up with this day to day reality, that person starts to find the answer to find the higher level peace and satisfaction.

So for such person Advait Vedanta gives the solution in question and answer form. These questions and answers are very deep and intellectual. For people like us who can not easily devote ourselves to someone, for them this is mental treat as well as thought provoking. In fact it allows us to ask as many as doubts we can and it gives answers to our doubts as well.

One of the most important question in Advait Vedanta is “Who am I ?”

When we are in the dream state we feel that our mind is nothing but me. Our mind creates the images and all surrounding. In the dream state we don’t have awareness of our physical body. We feel pain and pleasure without actual interference of our physical body.

The moment we wake up we start feeling that this body is nothing but me. Till the time I was dreaming I was feeling mind is me. Now I am feeling this physical body is me.

So who am I exactly?

So lets try to find the answer as given in the Advait Vedanta. We will start from outside to inside.

Am I a physical body?

We feel that I am this body. Yes, why not? That is how it looks like.

But wait,

  1.  Now I am wearing the shirt and I call that shirt also as me. Then I point a finger towards me, I say that this is me, with my cloths and body.

If I remove the shirt and put aside. Now? Am I that shirt anymore? No. That is mine shirt but its not me.

     2.  In the same way suppose, If I cut my hand. (Don’t take it seriously, and don’t cut                 your own hand. hehe ) That hand was part of me when it was attached to the body.           But it is not anymore. I will say that it is my hand. But its not me.

So in this way when I die. That means whatever is inside me gets away from the body then people even don’t call my body by my name as well. They say move the body here, there. That’s the fact. Let it be.

But what I mean to say it is sure that even it appears like I am this physical body but when we think deeply we come to conclusion that I am not.

Then we will go further inside.

Am I my mind?

As we saw when we wake up from dream we realise that we are not in the dream. Means we are not mind as well. Or I can not say that I am only the mind.

Deep sleep?

When we are in the deep sleep state we don’t see any dreams , and nothing happens there. Even we don’t have realisation of our own physical body as well as our mind. But still we do exist. It doesn’t mean that I am not there. Yes I am always there.

So,

Am I this physical body? NO

Am I this mind? NO

Am I this intellectual? NO

So am I nothing? NO

So who am I?

Advait Vedanta says, I am not Nothing as well as I am not Something.

How super deep and confusing statement it is. Isn’t it? In Short,  you can not explain about myself as, I am something and you can not even prove that I am nothing.

Read it again, because I also got confused here always.

Who am I?

I am not nothing.

I am not even something.

This I has terminology called as the “Brahman“. Which never awakes and never sleeps. Which just exists. It does not get affected by anything. Any situation, ani condition it is stable, never changes, never gets affected.

A person who realises, I am the Brahman gets out of all fears, all illusions all misery and sorrows. Neither happiness affect the state nor sorrow.

So this was the way and objective of adavit Vedanta to wake up from the day to day life reality. We will see in detail information about it in the next blog.

I don’t want to make this blog too long, So I will continue on the same in my Reality-3 Blog.

I hope you got the thing I have tried to explain. Many of your doubts will be cleared in the third part of this blog.
